Daily Dunya sacks Resident Editor over picture blunder

ISLAMABAD: Arshad Rahim Lone, Resident Editor of Daily Dunya in Islamabad is said to have been sacked for publishing a picture of a Palestinian rally and instead portraying it as a PTI-JI rally in Karachi.

The picture on the front page appeared in the paper last Sunday. Insiders tell JournalismPakistan.com the management is likely to appoint a new editor shortly.

Since the paper's launch in 2012, Lone was the paper's fourth editor. Before him, Amir Mir, Rauf Klasra and Masud Malik remained in charge.
