Join our WhatsApp channelPESHAWAR—On Saturday, an unidentified shooter shot dead Iftikhar Ahmed, a journalist with Express News and Daily Express, in Shabqadar area of Charsadda, KP.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against the unnamed suspect on the complaint of his brother Hazrat Bilal who found Iftikhar’s dead body near the Shakir Market of the district.
As per the statement of an eyewitness, an unidentified shooter opened fire on him when he was leaving the mosque after the Isha prayer.
The dead body was handed over to the family after a postmortem at Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in Shabqadar.
Ahmed was with the Express Media Group for 17 years. He left behind two widows, four daughters, and four sons.
