ISLAMABAD—Prominent journalist and anchor Rana Mubashir has quit the recently-launched Suno TV, making him the first staff-member to leave.

He joined the new channel in October last year from Aaj News as the south head. At Suno, he hosted the programs Joint Session and Barakas.

The reason for his leaving the channel was not immediately known.

A veteran journalist, Mubashir has worked for a string of news organizations including The News, Pakistan Television, NewsOne, Aaj News, and Express News.
