Join our WhatsApp channelISLAMABAD — A group of about 100 people gathered outside the offices of Dawn on Monday, blocking the gates for almost three hours.
An elderly bearded man, speaking to the crowd through a megaphone, said that Pakistan had now almost eliminated terrorism, yet this newspaper wanted to push the country back into the same tunnel again.
“From now on there will be no propaganda against Islam and Pakistan.”
The attackers chanted slogans in favor of ISI, Pakistan, and the Army in front of the main gate of the building.
Dawn recently claimed that the London Bridge attacker who killed two people in a terrorist attack in the UK was of Pakistani origin.
The crowd demanded that the newspaper declare the story as false. An official of the news organization apologized to the mob.
